“Bat Poop”

The other morning I discovered our cat had thrown up during the night and was cleaning it up. My two-year old boy, Joshua, thought it was cat poop. He proceeded to point at it and say, “Bat poop.” Not quite the right pronunciation but I knew what he meant.

After it was all cleaned up, the kids were hungry and wanted breakfast. My six-year-old, Hannah, wanted Malt-0-Meal.  We have the chocolate flavored kind, and I made some for Hannah, Joshua, and I. As soon as I served it up, Joshua looked at my bowl, pointed at it, and said, “Bat poop.”
